Abu Dhabi Fund for Development Showcases Infrastructure Progress in Africa Abuja, Nigeria — May 25, 2026 The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has marked substantial advancements in its infrastructure development projects across Africa, with key projects in Togo, Madagascar, and Nigeria demonstrating significant progress.
The ‘Sokodé – Bassar’Road in Togo has reached a remarkable 92% completion, set to enhance connectivity and economic activity in the region.
The project, financed by ADFD with approximately AED 37 million, includes vital flood protection measures and is a cornerstone in the transport sector.
In Madagascar, ADFD’s road infrastructure development project is 80% complete, featuring the construction of new bridges and dual-lane roads, aiming to improve rural connectivity and support key sectors such as agriculture and tourism. Nigeria’s ‘Minna – Bida’Road Project, at 45% completion, is the first development project of ADFD in the country. This project, which includes a 82-kilometre road connecting the cities of Minna and Bida, is expected to reduce travel times and lower operating costs.
