Accra, Ghana –
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), in partnership with the Government of Ghana and Africa Tourism Partners, has announced the inaugural Creatives Connect Afrika Forum & Festival, scheduled for November 25–28, 2025 in Accra.
The event aims to strengthen Africa’s creative and cultural industries—including fashion, film, and music—by connecting artists and entrepreneurs with investors, new markets, and cross-border trade opportunities under the AfCFTA framework.
Planned activities include pitch sessions, policy forums, fashion showcases, film screenings, and concerts, designed to foster collaboration across the continent’s vibrant creative sectors.
Speaking at the launch, Emily Mburu-Ndoria of the AfCFTA Secretariat emphasized the potential impact: “It is about unlocking the full economic potential of Africa’s people, including those in the creative and cultural sectors. Film, music, and fashion are global industries where Africa already has a strong voice.”
Organizers say the festival will highlight Africa’s creativity as a driver of both cultural pride and economic growth, while opening pathways for young innovators to access wider continental and international platforms.
