In a groundbreaking move toward renewable energy, Agadir — based Aradei Capital and LabelVie have initiated a comprehensive solar energy program designed to revolutionize the energy landscape in Morocco. The ambitious project involves integrating photovoltaic power systems across their extensive real estate portfolio, a move that aligns with the country’s national energy transition strategies.
Currently in its first phase, this initiative is already making strides, targeting nine sites that collectively boast approximately 25,000 square meters of rooftop space. Upon completion, these sites are expected to have an installed capacity of 5 megawatts peak (MWp) and are set to begin operation in 2026. The vision extends far beyond this initial phase, aiming to expand the program to nearly 60 assets across Morocco, with a total capacity targeting around 20 MWp.
Both companies are not just investing in solar power; they are also focused on reducing their carbon footprint and enhancing energy efficiency. The integration of photovoltaic shading structures in parking areas, energy storage systems, and other energy-efficient technologies are on the horizon, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and innovation.
LabelVie CEO Naoual Ben Amar highlighted the significance of this project, calling it a “major milestone “in the company’s sustainability journey. As a leading retailer in Morocco, LabelVie’s dedication to energy transition and resilience against climate challenges is evident. Ben Amar expressed pride in the partnership with Aradei Capital, emphasizing the fusion of innovation, economic performance, and environmental impact.
Echoing these sentiments, Aradei Capital CEO Nasser Benjelloun described the project as a strategic and impact — driven venture under their “Bricks For Impact “approach. The collaboration with LabelVie, he said represents a perfect blend of innovation and environmental responsibility, underscoring their shared ambition for a sustainable future.
