Sam Atumanyir, a motorcycle taxi driver who recently switched to an electric model, highlighted the lower operating costs and environmental benefits. “This bike doesn’t emit, so there is no environmental pollution,” Atumanyir.
“It helps to keep our health good. ” The move to electric boda bodas is also creating new employment opportunities. Local workshops assembling and maintaining electric bikes are providing jobs for young Ugandans, contributing to the development of a domestic green technology sector.
Opoka Collin, a technician at an electric motorcycle assembly site, expressed his enthusiasm for the job, saying, “This is my dream job.
