Libreville, Gabon — Reagir, the political movement led by François Ndong Obiang, will hold an extraordinary congress in the capital on 28 March, party spokesperson Bruno Ondo Mintsa announced Saturday.
According to local reports, Ondo Mintsa told journalists at the party’s Louis neighbourhood headquarters that the gathering will clarify the group’s direction and strengthen its structures “to better respond to current and future challenges. ” Official statements indicate the congress is meant to answer questions raised by activists and supporters nationwide.
Ondo Mintsa said the meeting will also unveil a new strategic framework and seek to mobilise “the country’s active forces” around a shared vision.
The spokesperson used the briefing to warn a formerly excluded member against claiming to speak for Reagir. “We respectfully but firmly invite him to abandon this imposture,” he said stressing that “credibility and honour must prevail.
” Further details are expected once the congress concludes.
