Libreville, Gabon — Governor Jean Bosco Assingabagni of the province of Ogooué-Lolo recently conducted an on-site inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects in Lastourville, Mulundu, and Ndangui.
The visit, which aimed to assess the progress of these projects, reflects the government’s commitment to transforming Lastourville into a focal point for development. During the visit, Assingabagni, accompanied by the prefect of Mulundu department, Régis Aymar Opiangah Peme, and the president of the Conseil départemental, M. Ndzokou, toured several construction sites, including the new municipal market being built on the former site of the prefecture.
The relocation of the administrative building of the prefecture to a new site on the left bank of the Ogooué River has enabled the commencement of construction on the new prefecture.
In addition to the new market and prefecture, the governor expressed satisfaction with the start of water supply projects in villages affected by manganese mining by A. Mining Développement. These projects are part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy.
Assingabagni also visited the construction site of the CES in Ndangui, a project initiated by the governor and financed by economic operators in the department, which is expected to be completed before the next school year. These infrastructure initiatives are part of a broader strategy to revitalize the region’s infrastructure, a move that underscores Gabon’s commitment to economic growth and modernization.
As Gabon continues its journey towards economic recovery and modernization, the inspection of the infrastructure projects in Lastourville represents a significant step forward for the province of Ogooué-Lolo.
