The HER Lab program, a testament to the nation’s commitment to economic transformation and women’s empowerment, has graduated its first cohort of 2026, with a resounding 74% of participants securing employment, entrepreneurship, or further education. This achievement marks a significant reduction in unemployment rates among the program’s alumni, dropping from 60. 9% to 35.

The program’s transformative impact is further highlighted by the establishment of a Village Saving and Loans Association, which has collectively saved over KES 1. 7 million (approximately USD 13,000) within a year.
