CAPE TOWN — South African National Defence Force (SANDF) troops and police conducted a series of raids in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, resulting in the arrest of two men found in possession of heroin.
The joint operation targeted gang — infested areas, with the raids driven by intelligence. Ian Cameron, Chairperson of the Police Portfolio Committee, emphasized that the raids were intelligence-driven and highlighted the problematic nature of the visited addresses.
The SANDF deployment in the province began on Wednesday.
