MOANDA, Gabon — July 27, 2026 – Eramet-Comilog, a leading mining group, has entered into a tripartite agreement with the Municipality of Moanda and ten economic interest groups in the Haut-Ogooué region, Gabon. This agreement focuses on the management of domestic waste and is a part of the group’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
The initiative aims to organize the local waste sector while promoting the creation of small and medium — sized enterprises (SMEs).
The partnership involves the distribution of professional equipment to the economic interest groups to enhance their operational capabilities. Officials anticipate that the project will generate 125 direct jobs, contributing to a more sustainable waste management system within the commune. Léod-Paul Batolo, the General Administrator of Eramet-Comilog, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership, highlighting the potential for sustainable opportunities and a prosperous future for the region.
Jacques Denis Tsanga, Governor of the Haut — Ogooué, encouraged the beneficiaries to fully engage in this dynamic, emphasizing the importance of individual commitment to the project’s success.
