RABAT, Morocco — The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) of Morocco has introduced a novel AI-powered digital resource hub at the International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL), a landmark event in Rabat.
The digital hub, a centerpiece of the fair, is designed to broaden public access to human rights knowledge and practices.
The CNDH’s digital resource hub features an interactive AI system that facilitates direct engagement with its comprehensive documentation, including reports, studies, opinions, and recommendations.
The platform is intended to serve a diverse audience, including human rights professionals, students, researchers, journalists, and the general public. Developed in-house by the CNDH’s internal teams, the AI-powered platform is a testament to Morocco’s dedication to digital innovation and national expertise.
The hub aims to demystify complex human rights topics, providing users with simplified access and personalized responses. President Amina Bouayach of the CNDH highlighted that while the Council is cautious about the design, use, and potential impact of digital technologies on rights, it also acknowledges the opportunities they present for advancing human rights protection and accessibility.
In addition to the digital hub, the CNDH also launched a dedicated app for its “Human Rights Pavilion “program at the fair, offering visitors event schedules, speaker introductions, and live streaming of conferences. This initiative is part of Morocco’s broader commitment to digital literacy and legal transparency, which has gained prominence during its tenure as UNESCO World Book Capital 2026.
The digital resource hub is expected to enhance the CNDH’s work and inspire similar endeavors across Africa and beyond, promoting a culture of informed human rights engagement.
