The gathering, which took place on Thursday, included the Special Representative of the African Union and Head of the African Union Support and Stabilisation Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), Ambassador El Hadji Ibrahima Diene, and AUSSOM Force Commander, General Sam Kavuma.
The primary focus of the meeting was to synchronize military efforts between national and continental forces.
The discussions, held in closed doors, heavily emphasized the reinforcement of strategic cooperation and direct operational partnership between the SNA Command and the AUSSOM deployment.
A key agenda item was the practical execution of the Security Transition Plan, a critical framework designed to transfer full security responsibilities from African Union forces to Somali national security institutions.
Both leadership teams evaluated the current progress of this transition to ensure a seamless alignment with the capability generation and deployment readiness of the SNA.
In addition to the transition strategy, the military leaders also deliberated on immediate tactical methods to accelerate the tempo of ongoing joint operations aimed at eradicating the Kharijite terrorist networks.

Concluding the meeting, Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud expressed his gratitude to the AUSSOM leadership.
