On October 8, 2025, TrustAfrica and partners from the Stop the Bleeding (STB) Campaign hosted a special reception during the 13th Pan-African Conference on Illicit Financial Flows and Taxation (PAC), marking a decade of progress in the struggle for financial justice across the continent.
Led by Briggs Bomba, TrustAfrica’s Programme Director, the evening brought together changemakers, advocates, and policymakers to celebrate the campaign’s achievements and reflect on its transformative journey.
The event recognized the critical role of civil society in tackling illicit financial flows (IFFs), honoring milestones achieved through coordinated advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and policy reform. Speakers reaffirmed their shared commitment to building an Africa where the continent’s resources are harnessed for its people’s prosperity.
Since its inception, the Stop the Bleeding Campaign has become a leading force in promoting transparency, accountability, and tax justice across Africa—mobilizing citizens, influencing policy frameworks, and inspiring new coalitions against the outflow of Africa’s wealth.
TrustAfrica reiterated its continued dedication to amplifying African voices and strengthening partnerships to curb IFFs and advance economic sovereignty on the continent.
