JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — South African Motorists Will See a Substantial Decrease in Fuel Prices Effective From Midnight on Wednesday, 1 July.
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has announced that 93-octane petrol will decrease by R2. 01 cents per litre, while 95-octane petrol will drop by R1. 96 cents per litre.
Diesel prices will also see a notable reduction, decreasing by between R3. 14 and R3. 59 cents per litre.
This downward trend is attributed to the lower international crude oil prices and the stable performance of the South African Rand.
The fall in Brent crude oil prices to pre — war levels, currently trading below $100, has contributed to this relief at the pumps.
