MAKOKOU, Gabon — On July 17, 2026, the General Director of Poste S. A. Alfred Ikaka Bobé, embarked on a thorough diagnostic of the infrastructure at the Makokou branch, the capital of the Ogooué-Ivindo province in northeast Gabon.
This inspection was aimed at assessing work conditions and identifying needs for the entity under the Ministry of Communication and Media’s purview, according to the Gabonese Press Agency (AGP).
The visit aligns with the government’s work plan and the directives of President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, as relayed by Minister Germain Biahodjow.
The objective of the delegation led by Alfred Ikaka Bobé was to appraise the company’s assets and inquire into the working conditions of the staff.
The Director General noted that the findings will be presented to the board of directors for strategic decisions on short, medium, and long — term action plans. Officials commented on the matter. He assured that measures would be taken to equip various offices with necessary computer equipment and improve internet access.
Poste S. A. ‘s directorate continued its diagnostic work in the Zadié department, Mékambo, and is scheduled to proceed to the Mvoung department in Ovan and the Lopé department in Booué on Saturday.
