LIBREVILLE, Gabon — 26 March 2026: Gabon’s Minister of Public Service and Capacity Building, Laurence Ndong, has led a meeting to optimize the Fichier Unique de Référence (FUR), a key tool for managing public service careers. The initiative aims to address inefficiencies and prepare for the deployment of the new Integrated Human Resource Management System (SIGRH).
During the meeting, Minister Ndong emphasized the need for regularizing administrative situations and highlighted the urgency of addressing over 10,000 pending files, which she described as a “major priority of government action.”She called for responsibility and mobilization among all stakeholders to achieve significant results before the 100-day roadmap deadline of 15 May 2026.
The National Agency for Digital Infrastructures and Frequencies (ANINF) has committed to supporting the ministry in this process, providing the necessary technical resources for system improvement.
The optimization of the FUR follows several identified dysfunctions and delays in the processing of public service administrative acts. Constraints such as excessive centralization and technical difficulties, including connection instability and data recording issues, were discussed. The FUR is a centralized computerized management tool for the Ministry of Public Service, designed to optimize the payroll and ensure accurate information for all state employees.
