CAIRO, Egypt — The World Health Organization (WHO) has convened a series of regional workshops in Africa to bolster meningitis prevention efforts. These workshops, held in both Copenhagen, Denmark, and Cairo, Egypt, have brought together policymakers, public health leaders, and technical experts to enhance national meningitis programs through peer learning and technical collaboration.
The roadmap emphasizes the need for robust health systems capable of maintaining high routine immunization coverage, early case detection, and swift outbreak response.
